WORK WITH Stephanie
Individual Counseling
I offer individual counseling for adults seeking thoughtful, high-quality mental health care. Whether you are navigating anxiety, life transitions, or the impact of past experiences, therapy provides a space to slow down, gain perspective, and work toward meaningful change. My work is collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping you build lasting insight and resilience.
EMDR
EMDR therapy is a specialized, evidence-based approach designed to help people process and resolve the lingering impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences. Rather than focusing only on talking about the past, EMDR helps the brain integrate memories in a way that reduces emotional distress and allows you to move forward with greater ease and confidence.
Couples Counseling
I provide couples counseling for partners who want to approach their relationship with intention and care. Whether you are navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or simply wanting to strengthen your connection, therapy offers a thoughtful space to understand patterns, improve communication, and create a more secure and fulfilling partnership.
About me
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Life’s challenges—whether anxiety, difficult experiences, or painful patterns in relationships—can sometimes make it hard to see a way forward. My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive and thoughtful space where you can explore what you’re experiencing, better understand yourself, and develop new ways of moving through life with greater clarity and resilience.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I work from a foundation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the practice of radical acceptance, helping clients develop psychological flexibility and a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Rather than struggling to eliminate difficult feelings, we focus on learning how to make space for them while building a life that is guided by your values and what matters most to you. Through mindfulness, compassion-focused strategies, and practical tools, therapy becomes a process of reconnecting with your strengths and moving toward meaningful change.
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, and I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oregon State University. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps people process and heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences.
At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each client’s inherent resilience. Therapy is not about “fixing” who you are—it is about creating space to understand yourself more fully, develop new tools, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and aligned with your values.
When I am not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, diving into a good book or searching for the perfect french fry.
Who I work with
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are seeking a thoughtful and supportive space to better understand themselves and the challenges they are facing. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, or the lingering impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences.
Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them—whether that means persistent worry, self-critical thinking, relationship challenges, or a sense of disconnection from themselves or others. Together, we work to understand these patterns, develop healthier ways of responding to difficult thoughts and emotions, and build a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you.
My approach tends to resonate with individuals who are curious about their inner world and open to a collaborative process of reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
What to Expect in Therapy
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and able to speak openly about what you are experiencing.
Our early sessions will focus on understanding your goals for therapy, your current challenges, and the experiences that may be shaping how you feel today. From there, we will work together to identify patterns, build practical coping tools, and develop new ways of relating to difficult thoughts and emotions.
Depending on your needs and goals, our work may include approaches grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process distressing or unresolved experiences.
Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to provide guidance, perspective, and evidence-based tools while supporting you in discovering your own strengths, insights, and capacity for change.
